2nd Bank in 1816
This bank was created first to store federal funds that were caused because of the war. It was run by board directors that were involved in the industry of manufacturing. Meaning they were biased with the northern and southern states. -
Panic of 1819
This was the first economic crisis of the united states, it brought down the economy a lot causing it to have political division. It also made Europe become its own economy.This was all caused because banks around the country started to fail. People started losing their lands because they couldn't pay off their rent , many people couldn't afford their factories anymore. -
Tariff of 1832
This was made because it had such an impact on the south because of the Tariff of Abominations.This raised up to 50% on manufactured goods and it also applied to items imported from New England. It also reduced the problems that were created by the tariff of 1828. -
Jackson removes the 2nd bank
Later on President Andrew Jackson says that the 2nd bank would not be used anymore.He then used the executive power and took all the funds out of the bank. Which led to the bank war. -

Jackson made 23 pet banks to spread federal deposits across the US. These are referred to as state banks. -
Panic of 1837
this was almost like the panic of 1819 , this was a financial crisis that led to dropping prices, wages, profits and people started being unemployed. The south and the Northern states were really affected because of this. -
Election of 1840
Whig nominee William Henry Harrison defeated President Martin Van Buren of the Democratic Party and this was known as the two whig victories in the elections. This was considered the first real campaign where they used lies, name calling and half truths to win the votes of the people.
