Small Villages

Aminagos Village
It is a small Greek Village with 60 houses. Greeks, who made their living by fishing and tavern-keeping, would entertain their customers coming from Istanbul by playing the Laterna. This residential area was called Ambarlı because military warehouses were placed in the places vacated by the Greeks after the population exchange. -
1924 Population Exchange
The places of the Turks in the Ömberiya village of Thessaloniki and the Greeks in the Aminagos village were changed. -
From Balcıbük to Firuzköy
The Turks, who lived in the Balcıbük village of İvaylovgrad, Bulgaria, migrated to Firuzköy due to their anxiety and restlessness due to the raids of the Bulgarian bandits on their villages and the ambushes set up in their lands. -
