Lee Harvey Oswald is Hired at Texas School Book Depository
Oswald was hired as a seasonal, full-time employee at $1.25 and hour. He secured the job with a referrel from Ruth Paine. Oswald's recently divorced wife and children were living with Ruth Paine at the time of hire. -
Kennedy's security is increased
U.N. Ambassador Adlai Stevenson jeered, hit by a sign, and spat on. Security is increased in fear that Kennedy would be treated similarly. Stevenson and others advise him to not go to Texas, but Kennedy ignores the warnings. -
