The orders were to expand the settlement on Hispaniola, convert Natives to Christians, make a atrading post, and continue to explore China and Japan. Ended November 3rd when land was sighted.

Went ot the Carribean even though it was already discovered. He searched for more land and the route to the orient.

Columbus' Fourth Voyage

He was to go explore uncharted areas of the Carribean. And find the west passage to the orient. He did explore southern parts of Central America, but his ships fell apart due to hurricanes and termites. Columbus' crew was stranded on Jamaica for about a year. They got home from the voyage in late 1504.

Magellan found passage in South America

Ferdinand Magellan died on his voyage but 18 members of his crew found a passage along the Southern tip of South America.They were part of Spain.

Vasco Da Gama

First European explorer to reach India by sea. It was first sea route reaching from Europe to Asia, and the first sea route linking the Atlantic and Indian ocean. He died on December 23, 1524.
