    This was a time in the world with many deaths and disagreements between countries. The US got involved late compared to the start of the war. We had many men shot and killed but also encountered the spanish flu while in combat.

    Booker T. Washington is fighting for equal rights for african americans. There is starting to be signed laws to increase their education oppurtunities.
  • Prepardness Day parade

    Americans in Sanfrancisco marched on the streets for getting ready to be entered into world war I. There was a bomb that went off killing 10 people that was set off by a man that disagreed with entering the war.
  • USA and Germany

    This is when the US cuts off relations with Germany. Our president Wilson could not trust that they would remain peaceful while performing submarine "excercises".

    Charles G. Dawes went to the Secretary of Treasury wanting more organization and money given to the military. He was going to be in charge of the War Finance Corporation.

    Woodrow Wilson has a signed document to Harvey D. Gibson that he would like him to work on the finance committee for the military red cross. This is a step in creating better military conditions.
