    This Voyage was funded by the government so that Christopher could go out and explore new trade routs and new ways to the indias. This was important becaus it led to the discovery of the americas and thus to the eventual settlement by the european countries.

    This was the grand exchange of goods including animals, plants, culture, human populations, technology, and ideas between the americas and the europeans. this was important because the government was a big part of the exchange of ideas.

    Treaty of Tordesillas was an agreement between portugal and spain and it was an attempt bu both countries to resolve any future disputes regarding colonization. This was an example of the power of the government in regards to exploration.

    It was the spanish system to regulate and control Native Americans. The Spanish crown granted Spanish colonists a specific number of natives for whom they were to take responsibility. This was a form of slavery towards the natives and it eventually led to the creation of the spanish caste system.

    The Spanish caste system was a social hierarchy based on how European you were. Wealth, education, and physical appearance helped determine how an individual might be viewed. peninsulares, creoles, indios, negroes. mestizo and mulatto this was important because it was one of the first forms of influence by the government on the people in the americas.

    This was a set of rulles that was made by the pilgrims on teh myaflower and it was one of the first forms of written government in teh new world.

    Roger Williams was the first person to be kicked out by the pilgrims because he had spoken out against the right of civil authorities to punish religious dissension and to confiscate Indian land. He went on to found rode island

    Anne Hutchinson
    Anne Hutchinson organized religious meetings for the women and challenged the political authority. She was tried in 1637 and then banished from Massachucetts. this was important becasue she was one of the only people that was kicked out of Massachucetts.

    This was a conflict by the natives against the colonist led by a native by the name of Metacomet this was caused because the natives were being controlled too much by the colonist. this was one of the first major conflicts by the natives agains the colonist.

    This declaration by the king said that the colonist could not cross the appalachian mountains this later caused more conflict between the crown and the colonist.

    This was a tax on foreign wines, coffee, textiles, and indigo imported into the colonies. This angerd the colonist and started stirring the colonist into a frenzy.

    The stamp act taxed all paper in the colonies and was one of the taxes imposed on the colonies after the 7 years war and it was one of the factors that led up to the revolutionary war.

    This act added a tax on tea. this was met by resistance which cumulated in the boston tea party.
