German Psycologist including Max wertheimer, Wolfgang Kohler and Kurt Koffa disagreed with the idea that perception is a sum of parts, rather they belived it is a whole patern. For example, when we look at a chair we see a chair. Not the legs, cushion, and back of the seat. -
