"The Law of Terminating the Suffering of People and Nation"
This act let the German government pas amy law even if it violated the constitiution. After this act was created, Hitler and the Nazis never worried about laws and the right of citizens again. -
Jewish Boycott
Hitler called for a Jewish boycott, he put up posters all over the country and he even put advertisments on the radio. In the news paper demonstrations were held. "Germans Defend yourself! Do not buy from the Jews" "Any one who buys from the jews is a traitor" -
Aryan Law
The Aryan Law was a law that had all non-Aryans (Jews) expelled. That meant anyone who had a Jewish Parent and or two or more Jewish grandparents. From that date to the end of the year Anti-jewish laws affected Jews in all perfessions. -
Berlin Book Burning
On May 1st, Berlin University students gathered up all the books by "undesirbable writes" and threw them on a huge bonfire. They burned 70,000 tons of books. They burnt the books for many reasons, one of them being the need to remove all un-german ideas from Germany. -
Nuremberg Laws
The Nuremberg laws were laws during WWII against the Jews. It said that if all grandparents were German then you were concidered a full-breed german, also known as the Aryan. If you had 3 or 4 Jewish grandparents you could be pursecuted for being a Jew. If you had just 2 you were a mixbreed and weren't treated as well as a fullbreed German. -

The Nazis wanted to make indentifing Jews easier so they published a list of 'jewish' names. If your name wasn't on that list and you were a Jew, you had to add 'Israel' as a middle name if you were a male, and 'Sarah' if you were a female. -
Night Of The Broken Glass
A 17 year old Jewish male, Herschel Grynszpan killed a German official in return for the Nazis taking his family to a concentration camp. The Grman Officials were not happy, to get back at the Jewish population in Germany they broke windows of stores that were owned by Jews. "The Night of Broken Glass" is self-explainitory, the night was filled with broken glass from the shattered glass. -
Jewish Star Requirment
Jews over the age the six had to wear an armband with the star of david showing that they were Jewish, this helped the Nazis/officials to identify the Jews.
