    The Enabling Act was called the "Law for Terminating the Suffering of People and Nation". This was an attempt to restore Germany to full health. This act basically allowed Hitler and the Nazis to pass any act they wanted to.
  • Jewish Boycott

    Hitler called for a boycott against Jewish business. The bad events caused by Jews was called " International Jewry". Hitler believed people who bought from Jews were traitors. The boycott only lasted for one day.

    This classified people as Jews. If you have two Jewish parents or two Jewish grandparents, you were classified as a Jew. Jews were non- Aryan. Non- aryans in the civil service were expelled.Jews could not have virtually any job and could not work.

    They collected the works of great Jewish writers and had a bonfire. They burned 70 thousand tons of books. Speech was given. In the speech they stated "Jewish interlectualism is now ended". One third of the books in Germany were destroyed.

    Anyone who challenged Hitler was killed. The first law passed, it said that if you were German, you can't marry a Jew. The second one is only full Jews are members of Reich. People who weren't in the Reich were outsiders.

    All Jews from ages 6 were supposed to wear a Jewish star to show that they were Jewish. This was the first time since the Middle Ages that Jewish stars were used on Jews.
