The Nanjing Massacre, or rape of Nanjing, was an episode of mass murder and mass rape committed by Japanese troops against the residents of Nanjing. This massacre had happened after the Japanese invaded and seized control of Nanking. The effect of this massacre was between 20,000 and 80,000 women were sexually assaulted. There are no official numbers of death but estimates range between 200,000 and 300,000 deaths. -

Fall of Paris
The Battle of France was the German invasion of France and the Low Countries during the Second World War. This had happened because Paris fell to the Germans on the 14th of June, after the virtual collapse of the French Army. About 580,000 French people were killed by the time the liberation started. Also, by September most of France was already back in allied hands. -

What had happened during the Pearl Harbor is, Japanese planes attacked the United States Naval Base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii Territory. One-third of all Marine losses during World War II happened at Iwo Jima. The island of Iwo Jima was a strategic location because the US needed a place for fighter planes and bombers to land and take off when attacking Japan. An effect is the US won the air fields so they were shut down. -

The battle of okinawa also known as Operation Iceberg. It was the largest amphibious landing in the Pacific theater of World War II.
