    German police found out about the Secret Annex and took everyone staying there to a concentration camp. Immediately the woman were separated from the men, Anne, Margot, and their mother stayed together for a while, then Anne and Margot were transported to a new camp.

    After months of surviving the concentration camps Margot died because she was very ill and she fell from her bunk bed and the shock killed her. Anne died from a disease called Typhus a few days after Margot died.
