Anne's 13th Birthday
Anne Frank turned 13 on this day, as a birthday present she recieved the diary that one day millions would read. Anne Frank was a Jewish girl who lived in Germany with her older sister, Margot and her mother and father. -
Anne Enters Hiding
After Margot got a call demanding that she go to a Jewish work camp the day before the Frank family went into hiding in a place called "The Secret Annex"much earlier than originally planned. -
The Van Pels
The Frank family was joined by the Van Pels, Mr. and Mrs. Van Pels, and Peter, a 16 year old boy who later became Anne's boyfriend. -
Pfeffer
Fritz Pfeffer joined the Van Pels and the Frank family in hiding. Fritz shared a bunk bed with Anne for a while, Anne did not think very highly of him, she called him selfish in her diary. -

D-Day
D-Day, 100,000 soldiers stormed the beaches of Normandy in France to fight against Germany. 9,000 soldiers fighting for the Allied Power were dead or wounded after D-Day. D-Day was a success the Allied Powers had a handle on some of Normandy Beach. -
Arrest
German police found out about the Secret Annex and took everyone staying there to a concentration camp. Immediately the woman were separated from the men, Anne, Margot, and their mother stayed together for a while, then Anne and Margot were transported to a new camp. -
Death
After months of surviving the concentration camps Margot died because she was very ill and she fell from her bunk bed and the shock killed her. Anne died from a disease called Typhus a few days after Margot died. -
Italy Surrenders
Germany forced Italy to surrender. -
VE Day
Germany surrenders to the Allied Powers, VE Day or Victory in England Day marks this day. -
VJ Day
Victory in Japan Day marks the day when Japan surrendered after the USA bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
