Is a machine capable of a finite set of configurations that is supplied with a one-way infinite and one-dimensional tape divided into squares each capable of carrying exactly one symbol. At any moment the behavior of the machine is completely determined by the current state and symbol (called the configuration) being scanned which decodes these hidden messages. This allowed many messaged to be solved during the WWII and to help Turing develop his studies in computer science. -
