after the Indians and the french fight for war, they restrict the fact that the colonists cannot cross the Appalachian mountains so that they can have that land and the colonist can't even though they fought in the war for it too. -
The stamp act
The British get back at the colonists for breaking the law of the Proclamation Line. Causing them to pay for the debt of the British. -
Boston Massacre
an event on where the sons and daughters of liberty were just yk chilling and then they saw the red coats and started throwing snow at them, then someone in the crowd yelled fire also an event on where the red coats were ganging up on a single person (colonist) and the colonist were trying to defend them, but then a red coat yelled fire and they were killed. -
The Tea Act
Tea gets taxed, quite literally. Tea was super important back then, and they made it more pricey. this made it super hard for the colonist to buy tea especially since tea was super prestigious and popular back then. -
The Boston Tea Party
The sons and daughters of liberty, went on a rampage on a boat. They poured all the tea into the harbor of Boston and got rid of thousands, or even millions of dollars because of the tea act. -
Intolerable Acts
A series of laws made by the British parliament. These laws were to punish the colonist for the Boston tea act, these 4 laws are considered intolerable because of the fact that the colonist would never want to do them again. -
Continental Congress
literally the colonies had enough of the British's BS of the intolerable acts. had a meeting to discuss the olive petition branch to see if they can get peace and not start a war between the others but then they held a 2nd continental congress because they didn't get the peace signed or agreed to and so the king and queen got mad and they declared a war to fight for their peace. -
Lexington and Concord
tbh idk what this is but all i know is that it is when the British is tryna capture/destroy weapons and ammunition from the colonies and where the first shot was fired by Lexington (besides the boston massacre) -
Fort Ticonderoga and the Green Mountain Boys
The first offensive made by the colonists, literally the colonist fight for Ticonderoga and win, fight for Montreal and win, fight for Crown point and win, but lose for Quebec and Richard Montgomery dies; Benedict Arnold gets injuries. -
Bunker hill
A battle on Bunker hill whereas the colonist had built a fort in Breeds Hill and the British capture the fort, resulting in the British winning the battle but the British only really won because the colonists had ran out of ammunition; it really felt like the colonist won. -
Common Sense
a book where Thomas Paine wrote about common sense and how it argued about how they should separate and SHOULD be allowed to get out of England. -
The Declaration of Independence
when Thomas Jefferson created these laws to declare freedom from England, declaring the colonies to be USA, saying the government to protect people, declaring to protect unalienable rights and listed grievances. -

first actual success of george wasghington, and where they cross the delaware. and they retreated during this battle. -
Battle of saratoga
A major turning point for the colonist which helped secure independence in the revolution. France joined the war during this time. also the battle tactic of fighting like them -
Valley Forge
george washington and his troops stay for 6 months during the winter to prepare to fight better battles in the future. -
War in the south (charleston
the worst ever defeat for the colonist because it was ideal for the military people/war they kept retreated and ambushing and they made the british take supplies from people. -
Battle of Yorktown
George Washington made the other team surrender 8000 people from lord charles cornwallis also marked the last major battle of the revolutionary war aka treaty of paris.
