  • Navigation Acts

    Navigation Acts
    This act was last to limit trade to England, it promoted the British as well. It indeed also promoted their ships and trade to other countries.
  • French and Indian war ended

    French and Indian war ended
    This war was ended by the treaty of Paris between Britain and France. French lost the war that lasted 7 years and had to give up there Territory in North America which was Canada to Great Britain.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    Parliament attempting to pass taxes on the colonist in America for newspapers and pamphlets.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    This was led by a mob formed of angry colonist. After the British soliders were hit by snowballs and rocks, the British army opened fire killing five colonists protesting.
  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    Parliament passed a tax on tea making Britain able to ship it’s tea to America. Colonist did not follow the tax due to it being given by the parliament who had no rule over America in the colonist eyes.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Britain sent over a ton of tea on a ship to America. The Americans were angry at Britain for the taxes they tried to make Americans pay. This leading to the colonists dumping the tea into the harbor.

    These act was passed by parliament as punishment from the Boston tea party the anger colonist caused. There was 4 laws passed.

    12 of the 13 original colonies met to help Massachusetts after the Massacre and Tea party happened. The leaders met to help Massachusetts who was having the hardest time with the British.
  • Lexington and Concord

    This battle led to the open shots of the American Revolution beginning. These battles led to the Americans getting there acts together and preparing for war.
  • Second continental congress

    After the Lexington and concord battles occurred the continental congress was called to meet again. This meeting led to the continental army getting led by George Washington and the Declaration of Independence began to get written by Thomas Jefferson.
  • U.S. constitution adopted

    As the country needed a new Constitution to make the laws of this new country effective the nations leaders after rewriting the document making it more strong. The leaders then signed it putting it forward, which remains still as affective in the U.S. today.

    America adopted this document written by Thomas Jefferson. The signing the leaders did to the document making the country known for having there own ideas for independence.

    This was one of the most harsh times for the colonists troops during the war. The America troops suffered through the hunger, disease, and cold.

    Battle of Saratoga
    This is a true climax in the war from the Americans victory over Britain. The victory lead from Americans avantages of their good strategy and homeland.
  • Battle at Yorktown

    Battle at Yorktown
    The turning point in the war for the americas when they received help from the french fleet. The British surrendered leading to defeat, sending the British war efforts to crumbles.
  • U.S Constitution written

    U.S Constitution written
    Began with the articles of confederation serving as the Constitution yet was not working effectively towards the country. The nations leaders need to fix this and gathered again to rewrite this document to fix the past mistakes.
