The Seven Years War
The Seven Years War was a global conflict fought between 1754 and 1763. It also involved every European who had a great amount of power during that time and it also expanded out to five other countries. Which affected but also took place in the following countries Europe, West Africa, Philippines, America and India. It was also called and named the "French and Indian War" by some people. George Washington at the age of 21 years old who fought in the Seven Years War. -
Albany Plan of the Union
The Albany Congress had begun on June 19, 1754 and the commissioners voted to discuss the possibility of union on June 24. The union committee submitted a draft of their plan on the date of June 28, 1754. The commissioners had been in a debate where they debated the aspects of the plan. Until finally they came upon a decision where they had adopted the final version of it on July 10, 1754. -
Pontiac's Rebellion
Pontiac's War had been launched in 1763 by a loose confederation of elements. Like the Native American tribes who were mainly from the Great Lakes region. Pontiac's Rebellion had begun when a confederacy of Native American warriors under Chief Ottawa. Who was the chief of the Pontiac tribe went to attack the British force who were in the city of Detroit. -
Proclamation Line
The Royal Proclamation of 1763 was issued October 7, 1763 by King George III. Followed by Great Britain's acquisition of French territory in North America after the end of the French and Indian War. This proclamation had forbidden every settlement past a line which was drawn along the Appalachian Mountains. The proclamation was the king's way of trying to separate the colonist from the Native Americans. -
The Sugar Act (Law)
The Sugar Act of 1764 was a British Law that was passed by the Parliament of Great Britain. It was passed by the Parliament of Great Britain on April 5, 1764. I was designed to raise money from the American colonist of the 13 Colonies. -
Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was passed by the British Parliament on March 22, 1765. The new tax was imposed on all of the American colonist and required them to pay a tax. The taxes that had to be paid were on printed paper. The types of printed paper that had to be paid for would be ships paper, legal documents, license, newspaper, and other publications that were printed paper. -
Quartering Act
The Quartering Act was passed by a Parliament in the year of 1765 in the month of March. The Quartering Act outlined the conditions and the locations of the British soldiers. In the act the soldiers were told to find a room and board in the American colonies. The Quartering Act of 1765 had a requirement for the colonies of America. Which required that the colonies to house British soldiers in the barracks provided by the colonies. -
Stamp Act of Congress
The Stamp Act Congress or First Congress of the American Colonies was a meeting that was held between October 7 and 25, 1765. The meeting was held in New York City which consisted of candidates from some of the British Colonies in North America. It was the first gathering of elected representatives from several of the American colonies. They gathered together to come up with a combined protest against new British taxation. -
Declaratory Act
The Parliament decided that on March 18, 1766 to agree to repeal the Stamp Act. But they only agreed to do this if the Declaratory Act would be passed. So on March 18, 1766 the Parliament repealed the Stamp Act and passed the Declaratory Act. The Declaratory Act also stated that the British Parliament's taxing authority was the same in America as in Great Britain. -
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was also known as the Incident on King Street by the British. The incident was on March 5, 1770 in which the British army soldiers shot and killed people. The British soldiers shot and killed the people because they were being attack by people in mobs.
