    Albany Congress was a meeting that some of the native leaders, colonial officials, and representatives from seven of the British colonies attended.

    The Sugar Act modified version of the Sugar and Molasses Act in 1733, which was about to expire. It required colonial merchants to pay taxes on imported molasses. The colonist were very anger. The British Parliament imposed what is known as the stamp act.

    The Currency Act was passed by parliment to basically take control of the colonial currency system. The colinist protested aganist the act. The British liked the Act because they could understand the act better than the previous one.

    The Stamp Act was when the British made it where the colonist had to pay a tax on every piece of paper they used that was printed. The colonist were furious about the act because they did not want to pay taxes on every piece of paper the printed. The british were happy because the king got all the tax money from the colonist

    The Quartering Act was when parliment passed a law saying that British soldiers could go into the colonist houses and sleep, stay, and eat their food. The colonist did not like it because it allowed the British to basically come into their houses as if it were their own. The Britush were happy because they began to think they could just do what they wanted in the colonist houses with no cosequences.

    The Declaratory act was passed after the Stamp act was revoked. The act said that parliament had the power and authority to make the laws. The colonist were happy but the British were upset.

    the Townshend act was a tax on tea, glass, lead, paint, etc. imported to the colonies. The colonist were very mad. The British were happy because they were getting money from the colonists.
  • Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre occured when a mob of colonist gathered at the Customs House and began to taunt the British soldiers that were guarding it. The colonist were mad for some of their men were wounded. The British were mad because two of their men were found guity for manslaughter.

    The tea act was when the East India company to ship the tea straight to the colonies without sending it to England first. The colonist were very mad, their anger lead to the Boston Tea Party. The British were unhappy because the act lead to the Boston tea party.

    The Boston Tea Party was when colonist dressed up as indians and threw all of the british's tea off their ship. The colonist were happy because they threw away $18,000 of the kings money. The British were furious because the colonisted had just dumped $18,000 in the ocean.

    The Boston Port Act was created to punish the colonist for the Boston tea party. The act closed the ports until the money for the tea was payed to the company and some money was payed to the king. The colonist did not like it because it closed all their ports. The British liked it because they were getting revenge.

    The act extended boundaries of Quebec and made religious freedom for catholic Canadians. The colonist didn't like it because they thought it was another intolerable act but the British liked the law.

    The first continental congress was when the delecates from the 13 colonies except georgia met in Philadelphia to organize the colonial resistence to the Parliments acts. The colonist liked it but the British did not.

    The Edenton tea party was one of the earliest women's political actions in the United States. The colonist praised the ladies of the Edenton Tea Party for their work. The british mocked them.

    Paul Revere rode on his horse informing people that the British wrere planning to attack and to inform them to get ready.Paul Revere said to hang one lantern if by land, and two if by sea. The colonist were very appreciative because they could now try and defend themselves.The British were not happy because the colonist were ready to fight.

    The shot heard around the world was one of the first shots fired at the Battle of Lexington and Concord. The British and colonist were upset.

    Common Sense was a book that Thomas Paine published in 1776. It stated the the colonist wanted freedom from Great Britain. The colonist were happy about the book. The British did not like it because they didn't want the colonist to have freedom.

    The Declaration of Independence is a statement that says that the 13 colonies were no longer under Britain's rule. The colonist were thrilled about it but the British were not.

    The Articles of Confederation was the first actual constitution for the United States. The colonist liked the Articles of Confederation but the British did not.
