  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    The first internal tax levied directly on American colonist by the British Parliament. The act, which imposed a tax on all paper documents.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    Required the colonist to house British soldiers in barracks provided by the colonies.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    A deadly riot that occured on King Street. A brawl between American colonist and a lone British soldier, but quickly escalated to a choactic, blood slaughter. The conflict energized anti-british sentiment and paved the way for the American Revolution.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    A political protest in Boston where American colonist were angry at Britian for imposing "Taxtation without Representation". They dumped 342 chest of tea into the harbor.
