This was a tax protest during the presidency of George Washington. It was initiated to generate revenue for the payment of the Revolutionary War debt. Ultimately, this was met with violence from many citizens in America. -
Bill of Rights
After fears that there was no formal document regarding American Citizens' personal freedoms, this bill was created. It is currently the first ten amendments in the United States Constitution today.
