    This involved the colonists in which the 13 colonies refused to submit to the authority of the King and Parliament of Great Britain. They refused using force of arms. They did not want the British Parliament to tax them and create laws. The colonists were known as the Patriots.
  • American Constitution was Written

    American Constitution was Written
    The Constitution was established for the U.S. to ensure basic rights and laws for the citizens. It was signed on Sept 17, 1787. The following seven figures were key founding fathers John Adams, Ben Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and George Washington.
  • Louisiana Purchase

    Louisiana Purchase
    This was a land deal between the U.S. and France, in which the U.S. acquired 827,000 square miles of land west of Mississippi River for 15 million dollars. Thomas Jefferson, the president at the time, is known for this achievement. He wanted America to own more land from the eastern to the southwestern coast of North America. This provided future growth of the U.S. and gave the U.S. a wilderness to explore and eliminate the threat of the French west of the Mississippi River.

    This was a military conflict that was fought between U.S and the United Kingdom. The causes of this war were the British trying to restrict U. S. trade and America’s desire to expand. In addition, the British were taking American seamen forcibly into military service.

    This was signed into law by President Andrew Jackson on May 28, 1830. This granted unsettled lands west of Mississippi in exchange for Indian lands within existing borders.

    The 13th amendment abolished slavery in the United States
    This amendment was passed by the Senate in Congress on April 8, 1864 and by the House on January 31,1865. Since the American Revolution, states had divided into states that allowed and states that prohibited slavery.

    This began with the dramatic crash of the stock market on “Black Thursday”, Oct. 24, 1929. The nations that were indebted to the U.S. for example, Germany and Great Britain were hit the hardest. Unemployment rose drastically in late 1929 in Germany.

    Known as Second World War, and it was a global war.This war started with Hitler’s invasion into Poland in 1939, the war would last and drag on for six years until the allied defeat of Nazi Germany and Japan in 1945.
  • The Bombing of Pearl Harbor

    The Bombing of Pearl Harbor
    The attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise military strike by the Japanese Navy Air Service against the US naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii Territory. The attack was supposed to be a preventive action to keep the US Pacific Fleet from interfering with military actions they planned in Southeast Asia against overseas territories of the UK, Netherlands, and The U.S.
  • September 11 Attacks

    September 11 Attacks
    Four Terrorist attacks on the US by Islamic group, al-Qaeda the morning of Tuesday Sept. 11, 2001 in New York City, Arlington County, and Stonycreek Township. The type of attacks were aircraft hijacking, mass murder, and suicide attack.
