Fray Marcos and Esteban's Journey
Rather than searching for the 7 Cities of Gold, they do what they came to do in the first place: evalute Texas. This ends most likely with a fairly bad report, not giving the spanish much hope. -

Coronado's Expedition
The only reason Coronado travels through Texas now, is because he needs to search for more promising land around the state. -
May 21, 1542
Moscoso's Expedition
The discovery of oil would never have happened, and maybe De Soto would live to say how bad texas was during his expedition, possibly halting - not just Spain - all travel to the New World for much longer than 150 years. -
Today (last few hundred years)
If these changes happened, our lives would be complicated, and lack of better working tools exhausting (no computers, cell phones, or anything else that relies on oil in some form). However, there might also be less conflicts worldwide with the U.S. and other North and South American countries to the rest of the world's advancements.
