    Agricultural Adjustment Administration (AAA)
    The AAA was created in order raise the crop prices and lower production. The government thought that by reducing farmers supply that the prices for the products would increase. Many Americans were mad about this policy and protested the passing of it. This was supposed to help farmers so that they would be making more money then they were spending. Today this act is found unconstitutional.
  • Tennessee Valley Authority Act

    This was developed in order to provide resources to the Tennessee Valley, where they were experiencing problems such as flooding. Providing electricity to businesses and homes was a necessity during this time. Because of the natural disasters this area was experiencing it was necessary that they were provided with tools to help get them back on their feet. Today this act is no longer in effect
  • Federal Emergency Relief Administration (FERA)

    Federal Emergency Relief Administration (FERA)
    This program was given a large some of money in order to administer direct relief to Americans who had issues providing for themselves. Some of the money was used to help unemployed as well as ill adults. The leftovers were handed over to states to back up work relief programs.

    This act loaned money at low interest to homeowners who could not meet the mortgage payments and ended up in foreclosure. The money as a result from this act would be authorized and given to the HOLC to save mortgages. If people weren't able to make their house payment they risked foreclosure so this act was used to support homeowners who couldn't make their monthly payments. This is still used today.
  • Public Works Administration

    After the PWA was created, they collected money In order to spend on the constructing of public works programs. They did this to try and provide work for people who were out of jobs and improve public welfare. This is still in effect today. Because of this act they were able to build the Hoover dam which is still used today and thus act continues to support the constructing of major projects.
  • Federal Housing Administration (FHA)

    Federal Housing Administration (FHA)
    This agency is used to provide loans for home mortgages and repairs. The FHA has insured milions of homes since 1934 when it was created. This is still around today and continues to help home owners similar to HOLC in a way that it saved homeowners from foreclosure.
  • Rural Electrification Administration (REA)

    Rural Electrification Administration (REA)
    This encouraged farmers to use electricity on farms. As a result of this act, by 1940 only 40% of American farms were electrified. Farmers didn't start using electricity very much until later years. The REA doesn't exist today in its original form.
  • National Youth Administration (NYA)

    National Youth Administration (NYA)
    This arranged job training for unemployed young people and part-time jobs for disadvantaged students. Because of this act college students or students who had to drop out could still find jobs to support their families because they needed all the help they could get. This is not in effect today because of wartime spending.

    This act is deemed one of the most essential acts created during the new deal. This act was made in order to provide groups of needy or ill Americans with assistance. It has had a considerably large impact on Americans since the early year of 1935 to today. social security is still given out today for the older generation after they retire so they don't have to work.

    This created board of people to keep track of the interest rates on loans and money supply. This successfully completed the restructuring of the financial system which was first brought forward during the Hoover administration and continued during the Roosevelt administration. This was very important during that time because of all of the bank failures.
  • Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FDC)

    Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FDC)
    This act was created in order to require all manufacturers to make a list ingredients in their products such as: cosmetics and food. This is in place so there is set limits for pesticide on foods. This act was created in order for people to be informed on what is in the food they are eating. This act is still used today.
