After convincing the King and Queen of Spain to pay for his voyage, he left Spain on August 3rd. He first sailed to the Canary Islands with his 3 ships. -

Columbus Offically Starts his Journey
Columbus stopped in the Canary Islands to do a final restocking of his ship. He arrived there from Spain, and when he was restocked he offically left for the Americas. -

Columbus Comes Back from His First Voyage
When Christopher Columbus came back from traveling to the Americas, he reported of traveling the Americas for about 5 months. He also brought back with him 8 slaves (17 had died) as well as small amounts of gold, and native birds and plants. He believed this continent to be India. -

Columbus Second Voyage
The second voyage of Columbus was originally planned to be a exploration and colonization project. They had included pigs, horses and cattle, as well as 1200 men and 17 ships. However, when they got back to the location they had left the men, they found that the Native Americans had attacked the men due to mistreatment. -

Columbus had sighted the land at dawn on November 3rd, a Sunday. He sighted this land at the West Indies. The voyage there was only 21 days which was remarkably fast for ships of his kind. -

Columbus comes home from his voyage. Supplies from Spain were becoming fewer. Columbus had been sick during the voyage as well. He brought back colonists, and Native Americans. -

During the last few years of Christophers Columbus life, he tried to recover the "riches" he once discovered. He did recover some treasures, but never the titles. He died still with the mindset that he had found the shorter route to Asia. -

Magellan left to begin circumnvigating the world. Magellan orginally left to prove the Spice Islands were property of Spain. -

Magellan Dies
On an Island in the Phillipines, Magellan died in war. There are lots of different stories to how he died, but the most clear was that he was shot with a poisoned arrow in the leg. There are also speculations he was stabbed in the arm. -

Magellan's Crew Comes Back
3 years after Magellan and his 270 men crew leave to circumnavigate the globe, they come back with 18 men and a ship full of spices. They come back on the Victoria, and arrived back in Seville, Spain.
