  • Proclamation of 1763

    This proclamation kept the settlers from settling on land that was pas the Appalachia. The settlers were not happy with this and decided to settle in the forbidden land anyway.
  • Quartering Act

    This act passed the law that said colonials had to let soldiers stay in their houses and eat their food. The colonist were not happy with this act and disputed it.
  • The Stamp Act

    The stamp act required most printed materials to be taxed. This led to the colonist boycotting several different items, and sometimes even attacking tax collectors.
  • Declaratory Act

    This act gave Britain the power to enact any acts they wanted, kept the same power between America and Great Britain. The colonist reacted
  • Tea Act

    The tea act gave the British East India Company Tea the rights to sell tea to the colonies and it was the only place that could, this gave them the power to be a monopoly. The colonies were angry about this because it increased the tea prices.
  • The Boston Port Act

    This act closed the Boston Port until all the damages cause by the Boston tea party were paid for. The colonist were very upset and did not pay for the damages. The port being closed for so long lost England money and they decided to open it back up.
