  • 1. Creative ideas and scheduling

    Deciding on suitable music track, which does not have an existing music video. Considering the resources youll need for the music video, and carry out research into chosen artists
    Produce a production schedule of the tasks involed for the a2 coursework
  • 2. Research / Cade studies

    Gathering 3 case studies of existing music videos which would relate to my own video in terms of of genre/ style etc. Can be presented in several forms using technology such as infogram/ pinterest etc
  • 3. Treatment

    Writing a treatment which will sell my ideas for my music video production. My research will help you to decide on appropriate content and the ways in which you will film it. Also look over the lyrics of the song and analysing, or listening to the song, and coming up with ideas
  • 4. Focus groups/ pitch

    Carrying out aome intiisl pre producton audience feedback on my idea and treatment to ensure audeince are clearly identified and targeted.
  • 4.5 Focus groups/pitch (evaluation)

    Writing and evaluation of the audeince feedback including any changes i will make as a resuly. This feedback must be uploaded to my Youtube channel and embed on my blog
  • 5. Pre-production

    drawing up a detailed storyboard; a shot by shot guide for my music video giving a full description of every shot. Release forms, Risk assessments, recesses, and call sheets will be needed. In our groups roles willl also need to be allocated
  • 6. Shooting the Video

    Shooting the video over the period of three weeks with three filming oppertunities, which include one weekend.
  • 7. Editing

    After filming the shots for my music video i will then need to begin editing. Editing will be done mainly outside of class time, and we'll have three weeks to edit. I will need to
    make sure i create regular blog entries including rough cut edits where appropriate, to show my progress. I must also take pictures, vines or any other visual evidence of editing for
    my blogs.
  • 8. Research and planning the CD / DVD cover and advert

    I will need to then move on to the ancillary tasks. You should use location photography taken during the video shoot as images in your print work, as well as additional studio styled photography.

    Research and planning should include case studies, Mock ups for thw ad and cover, and pitching my ideas
  • Producing the CD/ DVD digipak and advert

    Firstly i will need to produce call sheets for the task, in our groups. I will then need to use Photoshop and indesign to desgin to produce my own version of a digipack and advert, blogging my progress as i continue.
  • 10. Post-production feedback

    screening my finished music promo and showing my target audience the two print artefacts, gaining feedback by focus group and / or another digital alternative. Evaluating my feedback on blogger
  • 11. Evaluation

    Producing an individual creative evaluation presented through a range of digital technologies, or producing a Directors Commentary and "extras" DVD as a group (for this option i would need to aa voice over script and acompanying timeline for the DVD.
  • 12. Editing the Evaluation

    Editing the creative Evaluation or Directors Commentary and upload it to my blog to finish of the final advanced portfolio.
