  • Creative ideas and scheduling Deadline

    Decide on the group you would be working in and pick a suitable track that does not have an existing music video
  • Research/ Case Studies deadline

    Complete 3 case studies of existing music videos that relate to your idea in terms of genre and take detailed notes about the structure of the song.
  • Treatment deadline

    Compose a rough plan of what you intend to do for the project. In which you have reviewed the songs lyrics and possible locations.
  • Focus Group/ Pitch

    Pitch your idea to the public and produce a presentation on your research and planning as well as your evaluation. The purpose is to pitch an idea and to receive feedback on where to improve.
  • Pre-production

    This happens when the teacher and audience approves the initial idea you must then construct a storyboard in which the plan of every scene within the video including angles, action lighting and timing.
  • Shooting the video

    In this section you have three weeks including one weekend. The examiner will be looking for a professional and appropriate performance element to your music video.
  • Editing

    You would need to schedule to attend editing training during class time. Editing would be done outside of class-time and would be done over three weeks.
  • Research and Planning for CD/DVD cover and advert

    Case studies find examples of current CD. Take photographs while filming and studio style (photography room) images and research.
    Deadline 27th November 2016
    Produce mock adverts and covers that would be pitched to the class and teacher.
  • Producing CD/DVD digipak and advert

    Book a shoot in the photography room and produce a call sheet of the images taken.
    Deadline 15th December 2016
    Use indesign produce two printable artefacts (minimal 4 panes) (front, back, spine and at least 2 on the inside.
  • Post -production feedback

    Screen finished video and show printed artefacts gaining feedback by a focus group or survey monkey. Feedback should be evaluated
  • Evaluation

    Use interactive media (prezi, bounce app, spiderscribe, slideshare...) to answer 4 questions
    -In what way does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
    -How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
    -What have you learnt from audience feedback?
    -How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages.
