Hitler Becomes Nazi Party Leader
Hitler became the leader of the Nazi Party in 1921. The Nazi Party was a political party that fought against communists after World War I ended. They focused on anti-Marxist ideas. This was important because it would become the main ruling party during Hilter's dictatorship of Germany and ultimately be one of the most feared groups. -

Hitler's "Mein Kampf" is Published
Mein Kampf, which translates to “my struggle”, is an autobiography written by Adolf Hitler. The information was created by Hitler while he was in prison for political crimes. He makes a theory about the Jews to bring himself leadership and followers. He also explains the two evils of the world: Judaism and Communism. This is important because it tells the people Hitler's opinions and hoe they should join him. This piece of writing brought Hitler followers to support his cause. -
US Great Depression Begins
Beginning in the United States, after the crash of the stock market in September 1924, the Economy of the United Sates was weak and crippled until close to the start of World War II. Industry production lowered substantially and prices of good fell a great deal. Jobs were hard to come by and food was almost non-existent. People died from starvation and unsanitary conditions from living on the streets. This is important becasue its shows how the US was affected the world was too. -
3rd Reich Begins
Hitler became chancellor of Germany when Paul von Hindenburg died. He and the Nazi Party destroyed any opposition to protect his power. He became known as “The Fuhrer”. Hitler Centered Germany around him and his speaking and anything he said overpowered the laws. This was important because it would end up being the movement that brought the Holocaust and kiiled millions of innocent people. -
Germany Leaves League of Nations
Hitler wanted to leave the League of Nations so he told his delegates that at the Disarmament Conference, being held in Geneva, to exit the event. His excuse for leaving was Germany was already disarmed and didn’t need to be and that there were other countries who were not cooperating to disarm. This is important because it signaled the start of the Axis Powers being formed, which would fight the Allies in World War II. -

Axis Powers Are Created: Germany, Italy, and Japan
The three axis powers that became allies were Germany, Italy and Japan. All three agreed in the fight against the Allies. Germany and Italy signed a treaty creating the Rome-Berlin “axis”. Germany and Japan signed the Anti-Comintern Pact, which repelled communism. This was important because these three countries came together to take on the Allies in World War II. -
