My best friend got AOL for Christmas and I got to watch her log in to the coolest thing I'd ever seen before. She and I would get in chat rooms for dog lovers and other silly things. Using my mom's old video camera
It's funny how I remember something so odd, but I can clearly recall my moms old video camera. It was so big that it had to be rested on one shoulder most of the time because it was super heavy. I remember this because my mom was a single parent and on holidays she would have my sister and myself take turns filming her with the other sibling. The Oregon Trail
I have such fond memories of the not so technologically savvy Oregon Trail computer game. I was in my middle school computer class when I got to play this for the first time. It was seriously addicting! For some reason it was extremely enjoyable to see how far you could get with your oxen and family members.

Research Papers
I don't think this was the first time I ever had to write a research paper, but for some reason my first high school paper stands out to me. I had to write a long paper and it made me so nervous. I remember using several online sources for my paper. I would always double check my citations because I never wanted to get in trouble for plagiarism. I also remember that I wasn't allowed to use Wikipedia and I officially learned that it wasn't a good site to use for factual information. -
My first iPhone
I think I waited a bit longer than most to get an iPhone. However, when I did, I realized what all the fuss was about. I loved having the ability to take good pictures on a phone as well as having the internet available whenever I needed it. Booking a vacation online
Am I crazy that I never had to plan a vacation on my own before 2015?! I booked our family vacation to Disney World all by myself. My husband came home from work one evening and I told him I took care of everything! I researched like crazy so after that I felt like a real pro!
