The Korean war was a war between South and North Korea. The North, like vietnam, was communist and the South was democratic. Similar to the Vietnam war, America got involved in the Korean war on the side of the South. This war only lasted 3 years and death toll wasnt too drastic for America -

Although schools allowed african americans to go to the same schools, in the school itself the african americans were segregated.
