Bartholomeu Dias

in 1486,Bartholomeu Dias and his crew became the first portuguese sailor to reach the southern tip of africa, but he turned back becaused his crew were not willing to go any futher

Columbus reached a group of islands

he reached a group of islands across the atlantic ocean1492, he was sure he had reached india .columbus called the people indians

hoped to reach india by sailing west. the portuguese king wouldnt sponsor his voyage ,so he asked ferdinand & isabella of spain.after six years they agreed
