1997 was the date when sputnik was lanuched in space from Russia soil. Russia sent "Sputnik 1" -
First Packet Switch
On the 7th of April 1969, a small research team at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. They discovered the first packet switch which is a system of networks, this is very useful because with packets switch`s you can send or communicate with other computers even if there was a problem trying to contact one way it will find another way round it. -
The first Bulletin board was set up
On the 16 of february 1978, the first Bulletin board was set up, by Ward Christensen and Randy Suess. -
The delopment of domain names.
On the 1st of January 1984, domain names were being used for the first time. -
First Web Broswer
In 1993, the first ever web browser was leached and it was called Mosaic. -
45 million people using internet.
In 1996, about 45 million people were using the exploing the internet, either for buiness reasons or just for fun. -
