    The first crusade is called by Pope Urban II. Around 1000AD the Saracens had been encroaching on the Byzantine hold of Antola. The Byzantine king asked the Pope to call the warring states of Europe together to fight a common enemy.

    First Crusade Captures Jeruselm
    The First Crusade Capture Jeruselm from the Muslims. The first crusade captures Jeruselm after a long seige of the city. Once the Crusaders were insinde, they sack the city. Many of the cities inhabitabts are killed.

    Second Crusade
    The Second Crusade is Called. In response to the capture of the county of Edessa, the Crusaders call another crusade to retake the area. Louis VII of France, and Conrad III of Germany are the main undertakers.

    Third Crusade

    Third Crusade
    In response to the Saracen Capture of Jeruslem, the third crusade is launched. Also called the Kings' Crusade this crusade is one of the most famous. The three partakers are Frederick Barbarossa of the Holy Roman Empire, Richard the Lionhearted of England, and Phillip II of France. Frederick drowns in the river Jordan, Phillip leaves, and Richard is the only one left.

    Horns of Hattin
    The crusanders lose when they are attacked in the horns of Hattin. The crusaders lose a key battle at the Horns Of Hattin. The Crusaders march across the desert, during the day to attack the Sacren army. The Sacrens intercept them, and slaughter the exaused crusaders.

    Jeruselm
    Saladin, leader of the Sacrens, capture Jerulem from the crusaders. Sladin if far more humane than the crusaders when he captures Jeruselm. He does not depopulate the city as the Crusaders did. He simply imposed taxes, adn continues ruling.

    4th Crusade Called

    4th Crusade Called
    Fourth crusade is called, and sacks Constantinople. The crusaders were driven mad by how much weath exiseted in Constaniople. They change their attention to attacking the capital of the Byzantine empire. They capture, adn sack Constaniople.

    Fifth Crusade
    The Fifth crusade is called. Another attempt to reclaim the glory of the fisrt crusade. Greedy crusader generals try to push the offensive, but are defeated, and quickly look to consolidate their ever growing smaller hold on the Holy Land.

    Sixth Crusade
    The Sixth crusade is called. Now crusaders just want to try and keep a hold on the Holy land. Soldiers are sent just to try and hold onto the little bit of the Holy land they own.

    Seventh Crusade
    The Seventh Crusade is called. By now most of the original Crusaders have gone back to Europe. With fewer soldiers left in garissons the Saracens go on the offensive. After capturing several Crusader Castles the Crusaders call for help, another crusade.

    The 8th Crusade is called

    The 8th Crusade is called
    The Eighth Crusade is called Louis th XI of France calls a crusade. He seeks to capture the Fatimid dynasy in Egypt. He believes that is Egypt falls so will the rest of the Saracen Capilas. This fails, and Louis is defeated. He is in debt to the benefactors that had lended him the equpment to embark on the crusade.

    9th
    The Ninth, and final agressive crusade is called by Price Edward of England. After Lois dies in the 8th crusade Edward seeks to try and claim his glory. Edward assembels a force, and heads to the Holy Land. He was easily defeated when he landed.

    The Island of Malta
    The Kights of St. John are defeated while defending the island of Malta. The Sacrens take the last European grip on somthing close to the Holy Land. The Knights of St. John are overwelmed my early cannons, and sheer numbers.
