9 month timeline- Mal and Chloe

  • month one- mal

    The placenta is developing, the mouth, lower jaw, and throat are developing. Blood cells are taking shape and circulation will begin, the tiny "heart" tube will beat 65 times a minute by the end of the fourth week.
  • month 1- chloe

    month 1- chloe
    At month one the neural plate forms which is the foundation of the brain and spinal cord. Also, the baby is going to be about .1-.2 mm
  • month 2 - chloe

    month 2 - chloe
    At month two, the plate forms into a neural tube and then curves and bulges into 3 sections (forebrain, midbrain, and hindbrain). Also the baby is going to be about .63 in
  • month two- mal

    Facial features begin to develop. tiny buds that will grow into arms and legs are forming. Fingers, toes and eyes are also forming. The neural tube (brain, spinal cord, etc.) is well formed. The digestive tract and sensory organs begin to develop. Bone starts to replace cartilage.
  • month three- mal

    Baby's arms, hands, fingers, feet and toes are fully formed. Fingernails and toenails develop. Baby's reproductive organs develop, gender is still hard to tell. All organs and extremities are present and will continue to mature. Chance of a miscarriage will drop.
  • month 3 - chloe

    month 3 - chloe
    At month three, the brain continues to grow. To help this process, the mother should have a prenatal vitamin daily, get omega-3's, be mindful of Mercury, eat fruits and veggies, avoid alcohol, eat protein, pump up iron, and don't gain too much weight. At this point the baby should be about 2 in.
  • month four- mal

    Fingers and toes are well-defined, eyelids, eyebrows, eyelashes, nails, and hair are formed. Teeth and bones become more denser. Nervous system is starting to function, doctor can see on the ultrasound the gender of the baby.
  • month 4 -chloe

    month 4 -chloe
    As the brain is starting to gain fat and develop more and more your baby should be about 6 in.
  • month 5 - chloe

    month 5 - chloe
    At month five the brain is continuing to grow and starting to get close to fully mature and the baby should be around 11-12 in.
  • month five- mal

    You may feel your baby begin to move, hair beings to grow more on the baby's head. Baby's skin is covered in a whitish coating called vernix caseosa.
  • month six- mal

    Finger and toe prints are visible, the eyelids begin to part, baby responds to sounds by moving or increasing the pulse.
  • month 6 - chloe

    month 6 - chloe
    At month six, the brain should be almost entirely mature and the babies size should be 12 in.
  • month seven- mal

    Baby will continue to mature and develop, your baby's hearing is developed. The amniotic fluid begins to diminish.
  • month 7 - chloe

    month 7 - chloe
    At month seven, the brain is growing rapidly and should be fully mature and the baby is 14 in.
  • month eight- mal

    Baby will continue to mature and develop reserves body fat. Baby is kicking more. Brain is developing rapidly at this time. Most internal systems are well developed, lungs may be immature.
  • month 8 - chloe

    month 8 - chloe
    At month eight the brain is going to be fully developed and mature keep on continuing to grow and the baby will be about 18 in.
  • month nine- mal

    Baby's reflexes are coordinated. Baby moves less due to tight space. Baby's position changes to prepare itself for delivery. Baby will drop down to the pelvis. Usually the baby's head is facing down towards the birth canal.
  • month 9 - chloe

    month 9 - chloe
    As the last month of pregnancy occurs and the brain is fully developed and mature, the baby will now be around 18-21 in.
