    King James was removed from the throne after he proved to be a tyrant. He was in the direct blood line of Charles I, which makes more than one tyrant in the family. This event shows how the people took charge of their goverment and didn't allow a dictator to rule. This picture shows King James II.

    When Mary was in power, the Parliament took most of the actual power from her. They decided it was better for the land to take more of the responsibility but still have a monarch to look up to. This picture shows the Queen. I chose this event, because it showed how Parliament evolved over time.

    In 1721 under the reign of George I, Robert Walpole was promoted from Parliament to First Lord of the Treasury. That role eventually evolved into the Prime Minister. This was one of the last acts that distinguished England from having absolute to limited power. The picture shows Robert Wapole.

    This was one of the final examples of limited power in England. The whole revolution sparked from England's lack of absolute power over it's colonies. The picture depicts American resolve to be free and embodies England's lack of authority over the colony.
