Cortes had been looking for the city of gold Tenochtitlan. He had a small number of soldeirs with him and some native allies. He had been trapped in a city (not named) with no food or water. It is said that he and only the strongest of the men survived and escaped. Along with a few women. He kept looking for the city of gold but never found it. -

Fransisco Pizarro was a spanish explorer and conquerer who whiped out the ancient Incan Empire and clainmed most of South America for spain.He discovered and stole millions of dollars worth of gold,silver, and other precious goods during his time. Discovered in the early 1900's this ancient Incan city was thought to be a Fort that was the "Alamo" for the incans. But after further discoveries in the later years it was determined that this village was used for more Agricultural purposes.
