    Cxar Nicholas in Power
    Czar NIcholas had started the push towards industralization The Czar pushed the country into industialization by raising taxes and by starting new factories and buisnesses. By 1900, Russia was producing the fourth most amount of steel in the World. Also they started a railway system which made travel easy. Nicholas pushed on towards the industrialization of Russia.

    Industrialization in Russia
    The revolution was progressing and Russia as a country was not. Although these changed were used to put a positive change on people in Russia, it had later hurt them. Like in Britain, when the country was progressing to fast, unhealthy living conditions had formed and many workers were getting sick. New nationalistic groups had formed such as the bolsheviks and proletariet.

    Many Revolutionary groups were forming during the industrial movement in Russia. These groups were formed because of their disagreement with the industrial progression. A group known as the proletarist formed. They wanted the working class to come to power. Two types of proletarist emerges. The bolsheviks were the ones who would sacrifice their lives for change. They were led by Vladimir Illyich Lenin.

    The Russian community wanted change in their goverment. They marched tho the Czars winter palace in St. Petersburg, ordering a change in working conditions and goverment. The Czar refused and ordered the army to shoot on the crowd. The event became to be known as Bloddy Sunday and later pushed the people even further into starting a new revolution

    The Russians position in the World War was a disaster. The Czar went into the war knowing he was umprepared. He lost four million men and still continued to fight. He made a poor decision in going to the front line. He tried to encourage his troops and left the thrown to his wife. She made poor decisions and later gave up her position to Rasputin, man who had cured her sick child. She gave him her positon. He made poor choices which later infuriated the Russian Socitey, He was later murdered.

    In Petrograd, women were upset with the war efforts. Around 200,000 workers rallied togeather protesting against the goverment. The goverment later issued the guards to kill the people. The guards later joined the women in protesting.

    The Romanov Family Loses Power
    As more protests in Russia against teh Czar were rising, more people started to side with the protestors. Soon the whole country was against the Czarsist rule. The Romanov family was later evicted from power and killed. A provisional goverment was setup but did not have full effect on the people. councils. They soon ahd more power than the provisional goverment.

    The Bolsheviks Take Power
    The Bolsheviks gained power when members of the newly created Red Army over threw the provisional goverment. Lenin came to power .He had settled truths with Germany to discuss its goverment in Russia. He wanted to start from the beginning. He wanted to create a new state. Abolish the history of the Czarsist rule. The Soviet regime was the new beginning of Russian History. When he came to power many people did not like his style of socialsim. The people who dislike Lenin created a White Army.

    Stalin As Dictator
    After Lenin had suffered from a stroke, elections for a new leader were being held. Stalin was facing Leon Trotsky in the race for the title. Stalin had won the title becuase of his cold and hard tactics. He became leader of the state and the Communist Party.

    Lenin had incoorperated the ideas of the Czar into his new state. Because of the civil war against the white army, he had to put his plans on socialist economy to the side and use capitalism as a way to re build his economy. He encouraged buisnesss to sell their crops to people instead of giving it to the goverment. After teh capatilist rule, Lenin had successfully brought back a stable economy. He was now able in enforcing a nationalistic Soviet State.
