Revolutionary War
The rebel Americans declared war on there superiors the British Empire. Many grumesome battles took shape on American soil. The Americans won the war and the war ended in 1783. -
Decloration of Independence
All the head people in the United States wrote a paper saying that they wanted there independence from England. As England got this they didn't like it so they sent troops. America got there independence 7 years later. -
The Louisanna Purchase
France was getting to tied up with other things and didn't want the Loiusanna territory, so the United States bought it. This gave the United States a piece of land that was bigger than the land they had before. -
The war of 1812
Britain went to war with America to control it again. As they did America was trying to get control of British Canada. The British surrendered and America failed to control Canada. -
Manifest Destiny
The importance of this was big. In the 1840s and 50s, Americans moved to California and Oreagon for the search of gold. Also they moved to Texas for great fertile land. This began the westward expansion. -
Civil War
During the Civil war the United States was split into two. The Confederacy was fighting to keep slaves and the Union was fighting to free the slaves. During that time Abraham Lincoln got Assasanated. The Union won and slaves were free. The war ended in 1865. -
The Growth of Industry
During the growth of industry the United States was becoming advanced. The U.S. was advancing in industry and global trade. Factories were boming. This period of time was the 1870s, 1880s, 1890s, and the early 1900s. -
World War 1
Gemany began to sink American ships all around the world. The Americans of course got mad and declared war on Germany. America allied with Britain and France. The war ended on year later. -
World War 2
Germany and Japan allied with each other and became world powers. America again declared war agaist Germany and Japan. America and its allies defeat Germany. With Europe in ruins everyone turned towards Japan. America droped two atomic bombs and Japan surrenderd. The war ended in1945. -
Cold War
The United States and the Soviet Union entered the Cold War with unrest with each other. The two huge superpowers had a nuclear stockpile that would't be wreckened with. Both were just one button away from blowing each other up. Non of them never battled, but the Korean war and the Vietnam wars Started. The war lasted from 1945 to 1991 to the collapse of the soviet Union. -
The War on Terroism and 9/11
In the morning of September the 11th of 2001, 4 hijacked airplanes were crashed into a building of importance in the U.S. The Buildings were the World Trade Center and the Penatagon. After this grumesome day in history, America invaded the countries of Afganistan and Iraq to fight Al Quida. Still today we are fighting there.
