The revolutionary war broke out when colonists felt as if they weren't getting the same rights as people from their homeland. One example of this is they were being taxed without representation. -
Revolutionary War Ends
George Washington leads the American's to victory, and becomes the first president. -
America is Free
America signs the Treaty of Paris with Britan. This document seperates all the ties Britan had on America. -
Louisiana Purchase
America bought Louisiana from France for 15 million dollars doubling it's size. Soon after Preident Jeferson sent Louis and Clark on an expidition to find out what was on the new land, and if there was a water passage way to Asia. -
Indian Removal Act
The Indian Removal Act forced thousands of indians away from their homes and onto forgein land. This forgien land was called a reservation. Many indians had to walk days, sometimes months following the Trail of Tears. Those who fought back almost always got killed. -
The Civil War Began
The Civil War began after the Southeren States seperated themselves from the united states. The south seperated, because it didn't want their slaves to have the rights and freedoms of others. The first shoots the rang out were against Fort Sumter. -
Civil War Ends
The Civil War soon ended after General Lee of the Confederacy surrendered to the North. After that slaves soon would have almost the same rights as others. -
19th Amendment Passed
The 19th amendment passed giving women the right to vote. This helped start women getting more rights. -
9-11 Terorist Attack
Terrorists attacked the USA on September 11. They highjacked 4 planes. They crashed two of the four planes into the World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon, and the last we think was supposed to hit the capital building, but it failed thanks to the passengers aboard flight 93.
