First Principals PLC Session
Agenda & Links On June 8th and 9th, principals met for the first PLC Sessions at Grant High School about 21st Century Learning. During these 2 days, we discussed the urgency of 21st Century Learning, introduced the concept of the 21st Century Learning Academy and announced the partnership with Metiri Group. -
Academy Day: Exploration
Agenda & Links Despite lack of a funding source, EdTech begins the 21st Century Learning Academy. We focused on Academy expectations, and exploration of 21st Century Skills. -

Implemented elements of 21st Century Skills on the 2009-2010 Elementary Report Card. -
Principal's PLC Session
Agenda & Links We met to discuss the key 21st Century Skills for Twin Rivers. (Higher Order Thinking, Self Directed Learning, Visual/Medial Literacy and Information Literacy) We discussed the status of 21st Century Learning Academy. We finished the day with a webinar with Cheryl Lemke on the D21 report. -
Second Saturday Event
Agenda & Links EdTech held a general session on 21st Century Learning for any teacher in the district to attend. -
Academy Day: Revisiting Authenticity
Agenda & Links Based on teacher feedback we spent a Saturday morning digging deeper into Authentic Learning & Assessment. Note: Teachers were informed on this day that we were officially unable to acquire funding for purchasing of the bulk of the hardware we initially thought. Only 7 of the 64 decided to not continue. -
21st Century Learning Principal PLC
Agenda & Links During this session we went over a webquest exploring the key 21st Century Skills for Twin Rivers. We also explored the wiki created by Metiri and added more information to the living document. -
Dimemsion 21 Training
About Dimensions 21 EdTech began an indepth look at 21st Century Skills at select schools particpating in our PLC/Academy. This first day was a training session. Participants learned how to evaluate lessons from a 21st Century Skills perspective and protocols for walk-throughs and artifact evaluation. -
