Galileo proves the Earth orbits the Sun
Galileo affirmed the idea that the Earth revolved around the Sun, which contradicted the belief that the Earth was the center of the Universe. Thanks to the telescope Galileo was able to demonstrate that the celestial bodies did not revolve around the Earth but rather that the planets revolved around the sun. -
