    Granted citizenship to all people born or naturalized in the United States.

  • Plessy vs Feguson

    Supreme Court decision made in 1896.Set in the place the separate but equal act.

  • Mendez vs. Westminster School District of Orange County

    Years before the Brown vs. Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas this took place and made it unconstitutional for Mexican American students to be put in separate schools.

  • Brown vs. Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas

    Law that state that separate schools and were unconstitutional.

  • 13th amendment

    Abolished slavery and involuntary servitude.

  • 15th amendment

    A peoples right to vote can not be denied by the US government on account of race, gender or religion.
