    THe Mayflower Compact
    The MAyflower compact was the first governing document of the Plymouth Colony. It was written by the people fleeing religious persecution on the Mayflower. THe compact was made to prevent the :strangers" from trying to take them over. The Mayflower Compactwas signed November 11, 1620.

    President Lincoln was shot and killed by John Wilkes Booth during a play he was atending at the Ford's Theature in Washington D.C. He was Assasinated 5 days after General Robert E. Lee surrendered at the Appomattox Court House in Virgina

    Started when the U.S. declared war on Spain after the sinking of the Battleship MAine at HAvanna Harbor on February 15, 1898. It ended when the Treaty of Paris was signed December 10, 1998. Spain lost it's over sea empire as a result.

    WW1 started with the assasination of Archduke Ferdinad in 1914 and ended witht eh treaty of Versailies in 1919. the U.S. did not join the war until 1916. Because of the war more employment opened up for women nad Africans Americans,Industry and economy boomed, and new technolgies were invented.

    Prohibition was a law making it illegal to sell, make, or transport alchol. On Janurary 16, 1920. People found many loopholes in the amendement, for example, the amendment never said that it was illegal to drink alchol. On december 5, 1955 the 21st amendment was passed stating that it was legal to make, sekll, and transport alchol again.

    The Great Depression was a econamical depression all over the world from the 1930's till the late 1930's of early 1940's. During this time unemployment rose up to 25%, prices and profits dropped, and International trade dropped more than 50%. Construction stopped in most of the countries and farmers suffered because crop prices drop 60%.

    75,000 North korean soldiers went trough the 38th parrallel, this was teh first Military invasion of the Cold War. By July the U.S. had entered the war. Eventually the fighting stoped and the dead had nothing to show for it. Nearly 5 million people were killed during the war, the Korean Peninsula is still seperated today.

    Fall of the Berlin Wall
    THe Berlin wall was bulit to keep the East Germans from getting to the West. The building start August 1961 12-13 Many people atemptend to climb over the Berlin wall but only about 5,000 made it over succesfuly. On November 9, 1889 it was reported that the East Germans could cross over to the West.East and West Germany became a single state on Octpber 3, 1990.
