The Floppy disc was invented in 1971 by researchers from IBM in San Jose, California. It is an 8 inch plastic disc and what the disc did was had computer data read and written from the disc's surface. The name "Floppy disc originated from how flexible the material of the disc and the device was considered one of the key devices. -
Microprocessor
A microprocessor is a computer processor that is used by the computer to do it's work. Was invented in 1971 by Intel's engineers Federico Faggin, Ted Holf, and Stanley Mazor. It contains functions of a processing unit. Other functions it has are it is clock driven, digital integrated, and register based. This invention helped people have better ways of accessing computers. -
The Mobile Phone
The first handheld mobile phone was produced by the company Motora. This invention was the start of mobile phone's and how far they have advanced since 1973. -
Microsoft
Bill Gates and Paul Allen created Microsoft which today is used by millions of people. Was originally used for software and microprocessors and is a company that makes computer software. This corporation now has many different software additions and mostly everyone uses Microsoft for school, or any type of work. -
Apple 1
Dating back to 1976 was the first invention of the Apple computer. Was released as a desktop computer by the Apple Computer Company which is now know as Apple Inc. Was created and hand-built by Steve Wozniak whose idea of selling the computer on the market was from Steve Jobs.
