Basiclly what happend was the government wanted to cut down on spending that they spent on farms and the farmers didn't like this. The farmers wanted higher parity guarantees because they belived that farm income would be lowered by the governments plan. -
The Agriculture and Consumers act of 1973
This act gave provisions and guidance to many areas of agriculture. It also set aside programs for food stamps.
