    In the 1930's China was a divided country. In the 1930's, Chinese suffered terriforial enroachment from the Japanese, using their Manchurian base. The official strategy was to secure control China by deating internal enemies. This happened because, fighting began with the Battle of Lugou Bridge, often reffered has the Marc Polo Bridge incident. The Japanese Goverment, however, did not declare war.

    On January, 20 1942, Reinhard Heydrick, second in command of the SS, gather the Wannsee Confrence in Berlin with 15 top Nazi bureaucrats to go and take over the Final Solution in which the Nazi would attack the entire Jewish population of Europe, about 11 million people. The Nazi party and German goverment officials gathered to discuss and coordinate the implementation of what they called " Final Sulution of the Jewish Questions."

    In 1943 the British bombers had raided Hamburg, Germany. The night was Operation Gomorrah, while Americans bomb it by day. Because of Germany invading in July by bombing the British it was time for British to raid/bomb them back. Once all this went on until November the outlook on it was over 17,000 bomber sorties dropped more than 9,000 tons of explosives. That killed more than 30,000 people and destroying 280,000 buildings, such as industrial and munitions plants.

    Operation Thunderclap was the code for a cancelled operation August 1944 but it never followed through. The plan was to have a massive attack on Berlin hoping for 220,000 casualties with 110,000 killed, many of them key German personnel, which would tear apart/bring down the German morale. But only later to find out it wasn't going through again and won't work. Although this big operation didn't go through smaller raids did that were effective to Berlin,Dresden and etc.
