White Rose
In Nazi Germany a non-violent, student run resistance at the University of Munich wore white roses to protest against the German beliefs. They started handing out their beliefs in documents on June 27th, 1942. After the main group oft he White Rose students got arrested on February 18th,1943 these activities ended. -
D-Day

Nagasaki
Towards the end of WW2 the US obtained 2 nuclear bombs. With the permission of the United Kingdom the US dropped a bomb on a the city of Nagasaki. -
Hiroshima
Along with the city of Nagasaki the US also bombed the city of Hiroshima. In total 129,000, mostly innocent civilians, were killed. To this day it has been the only nuclear bomb used in a war. -
Vietnam Independence
After five years of harsh economic exploitation by the Japanese, the end of World War II allowed Vietnam to be freed from France after 80 years. Vietnamese nationalists had fought against both Japan and France for this freedom. On September 2, 1945, Ho Chi Minh announced the independence in Hanoi’s Ba Dinh square. -

During the ending of WW2, Britain informed in their immigration restrictions. Holocaust, Jewish survivors denied access at shores of Palestine. The Jewish Agency and the Haganah continued to smuggle Jews into Palestine. After high tension in the country, Israel was created as an independent Jewish state. -
North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)
NATO is a group where it's members agree to defend each other if there were an attack by an outside party. The United States, France and the United Kingdom will always be members of the United Nations Security Council. NATO consists of 29 countries across North America and Europe. It's headquarters are located in Haren, Brussels, Belgium. -
Red Scare
A "Red Scare" is when society places fear about a probable rise in communism, anarchism, or radical leftism. The first Red Scare was during WW1 and the seccond was during WW2. During WW2 the outbreak started when the US was involved with national or foreign communists.
