    The roaring 20's was a decade of prosperity and economic growth. During this time the Jazz Age became big along with flappers and speakeasy's.
  • women's rights

    During the 20's women were granted the right to vote. This would also be seen as the 19th amendment.Before woman were granted this right they went through the woman's suffrage ,which lasted for decades. Two woman you can expect to be part of this movement would be Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony.

    In October of 1929 a huge Stockmarket crash hit. This became a worldwide economic depression. Because of this many people lost a lot.

    During the election of 1932 Herbert Hoover ran against Franklin D. Roosevelt. When Roosevelt won the election this was a great win for democrats.

African Americans went through this movement for over a decade. some important people you can expect to be seen would be Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Malcolm X, Rosa Parks, W.E.B. Du Bois and Fredrick Douglass.

    This was a political protest against the public transportation system.Prior to this campaign Rosa Parks was arrested for her choice of not moving on the bus.
