  • Panama Canal is Finished

    After 30 years of construction, the Panama Canal was finally finished, and saved a monumental amount of time, money, and headache regarding shipping routes.
  • Lusitania was Sunk

    The RMS Lusitania was sunk by a torpedo from a German submarine. 128 Americans were killed, and this sparked great pro-war propaganda in the United States.
