The industrial revolution started in Great Britain. It helped that Great Britian had many resources. The first factories were set up by the fastest part of the river. -
1st successful steam engine is built
It was built in England in 1712. James Watt was the inventor of this. By 1800's about 500 steam engins were in use. -
Mexico declares its independce
Miguel Hidalgo started the revault against the spanish but he was captured and executed. José María Morelos keep the revault going. He led troops and took parts of Mexico for its indepence. He was later captured and killed also. Agustín de Iturbide was the one who gave Mexico its independce. -
Michael faradays dynamo
He discovered the connection between magnetism and electricty. This led to the discory of the dynamo. Micheael Faraday used the electricaly to power an electric motor. -
Taiping rebellion
Hong Xiuquan lead the taiping rebellion. There group captured large areas and by 1853 controlled Nanjing. Qing soldiers, British,and French armies attacked the Taiping army and defeated it in 1864. -
Sepoy Mutiny in India
The whole rebellion was started because of the introduction of a new rifle. The soldiers would have to bite of the end of an ammunition cartridge off. The problem with that was the end of the cartridge was greased with pork or beef fat. The Muslims and the Hindus did not eat pork or beef. This started a big war for two years. -

He thought that capitalism would grow. Then people would start to rebel. He said capitalism would collapse. -

D-Day
D-Day was a massive invasion of Western Europe. This would be one of the most difficult assults ever. More than 150,00 soldiers landed on the beaches of Normandy. Many men lost their lives but it was a huge victory for the Allies. In July almost 1 million troops have landed on the shore of France. -
