    He wrote a poem called The Star Spangled Banner, he wrote that while he celebrated the american victory when british failed attacking the McHenry fort. Later on that poem would turn out to be the national anthem.

    He led a multi-tribal army which allied itself with the British against the United States. After Tecumseh's death at the Battle of the Thames near our Canadian border, the Indian alliance fell apart and forced a British retreat which effectively ended the War of 1812. Basically the war ended because of him!
