I graduated from St. Johns College Highschool with a 4.2 GPA. -
College
Once I visited Tulane University, it was the only college I wanted to attend. I fell in love immediately and moved to New Orleans. -
Hurricane Katrina
After my first week at school, I was told to pack an overnight bag and go to a hotel with my parents because a hurricane was coming. They said we would be back in 2 days. I didn't see the school or my belongings again for 5 months. -
University Of Maryland
A week after the hurricane, I was informed that I would not be able to go back to Tulane this semester. I had a choice--take a semester off, or start my college experience off at another school. The University of Maryland welcomed me with open arms. I never looked back. -
College Graduation
4 Years after arriving at The University of Maryland, I am now graduating and embarking on the greatest journey I have ever taken: adulthood.
